This is the first issue of my next book, Washington Unbound. Here's the first paragraph of the book:
November, 1793: Former General George Washington embarks on his second term as President while The Fifteen United Colonies of America adjust to their newly established independence. Much of the Continental Army has been disbanded, as the battlefields have emptied long ago . Following the successful Treaty of Paris negotiations, and the imminent signing of the Jay Treaty, the remaining British Loyalists will be forced to evacuate their positions on American soil and return to their native land. Though the prolonged war for independence may finally be drawing to a close, the threat of uncertainty still lingers...
